I finally have my new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in my hands.
It was delivered with 100 km on the odometer, and I’ve driven about 150 km in it so far.
As a curious detail, the range indicated I only had 50 km available, I went to the nearest gas station and only got 61.5 liters(16 galloon)
I think it's a pretty complete entry-level version, only lacking the essential blind spot sensor, but otherwise I think it comes with very comprehensive equipment.
I love the way it drives and how comfortable the SofTex seats are. In Chile, two versions are available: one geared toward off-roading and the other designed more for luxury.
I am the proud owner of this off-road-focused "WX Adventure" model, which comes in this sand color or a blue version with a gray roof.
It is well-equipped, featuring a locking differential and a stabilizer bar.
The engine is a non-hybrid 2.8-liter inline-four diesel engine, and an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
I haven't had the chance to test these exciting features yet, but I’m eager to do so.
City fuel consumption ranges from 6 to 9 km/l (14 - 21 mpg) depending on traffic.
On a short highway stretch at 90 km/h, (56 mph) it achieved 14 km/l (33 mpg). All figures are based on the onboard computer.
