Grab handles

A-pillar Handles are strong enough to handle the heaviest drivers to access in and out the LC ;)
Mine updated is not for that purpose, but for:
• multiple attachment points (6 points per handle) for accessories
• off-road heavy duty / muscular look / feel (they are physically ;)
• easy to clean up with muddy/dirty hands
Bottom line, my FE gets happier 😜
Such a tease! You show off those really cool handles with the attachment points and don't say where you got them! ;)

Whenever I'm prepping for one of my overlanding trips, I have always removed the grab handle to mount a Ram mount to hold my Garmin. If I had these, I wouldn't have to do that.

That is what I use it for…with RAM 1” balls and mounts you can attach all kinds of stuffs (GoPro, additional cameras, additional phone (passenger side)…

Hehe…sorry for someone got eye sores 😜. It’s not for look only, bro 😜

Bought them from AliExpress

I'm 205 and use the grab handles inside the truck all the time. They don't budge. I doubt seriously they are coming off unless you hit the 350lb+ mark.

😆 Just grab handles…it’s getting hot now with 23 replies…

On the other hand, the spring loaded handles right above our heads are held there by tiny steel clips. No question with a solid tug you could tear one loose.

The ones in the back seat are great for hanging your dry cleaning. I’m not really sure what the front seat ones are there for.

Front seat grab handles are probably there to hide fasteners holding up the headliner. BUT you are not allowed to hang things from them per the manual!!! Airbag could send a coat hanger or shirt button right through your skull etc. Etc.
Having seen many vehicles crashed in the lab, the idea of putting a metal and sharp edged A pillar grab handle worries me, as do many things. Many times, the dummies head hits the A pillar - it goes between the side curtain and steering wheel airbag. Of course, if you only crash perpendicular to concrete walls, then you've nothing to worry about.
Disclaimer: i have waaay too much safety and accident mitigation training.

I suppose you’re not allowed to hang things from the grab handle, but hanging something from the little hook right next to it is fine. Gotta love the legal department.

😆 now grab handles move to next level 😆 can I laugh ? “Legal department” says “NO” 😆 I just laugh harder 😆

There’s an aftermarket sunglasses holder available that easily replaces the spring loaded grab handle. I bought one to put on my passenger side thinking my wife would appreciate it, but she revolted against losing the handle so I didn’t install it. But here is the link.

Has anyone found or installed upgraded grab handles? I’ve a cast on and will for a while and need to pull myself up into the vehicle with a little bit of force and am curious if there may be a solution. I don’t want to pull on the steering wheel because that can cause all kinds of issues.
Why are you putting all your weight on the handle? I can't imagine any scenario where you need to lift your entire body weight with just one arm - unless you are an invalid with no working legs??

I didn’t say I was pulling all of my weight up. However I will be pulling a substantial amount up. To a degree I am “invalid” to use your term because I have no leg leverage to use due to my fracture. Maybe you should just STFU.

You're driving around with a cast on your leg that you can't put any kind of weight on?

You've got bigger issues than what the grab handle can hold - namely, you shouldn't be driving at all.

Good luck.

Same. I broke my left leg some years ago. Once I was done with the heavy pain meds, I drove the whole time I was recovering. I didn't have a cast though; all internal fixation.
