Good video discussing aftermarket products and things to look for - Dissent

Dissent rocks but what about the 14 week lead time on my rock sliders man ;)

You've got to have patience to get the good stuff! I like Dissent. Their stuff seems well thought out and engineered for hard use.

The patience did indeed pay off with the Dissent rock sliders.

The rock sliders came in after 12-13 weeks. I just installed them this weekend. They bolt right onto the frame's factory pre-drilled bolt points.

Every detail is well thought out and the craftsmanship is superb. They also look really good and are rugged as it gets.

Ive seen people here talking about the step plates looking warped. I really think that's bad on the install job because there is none of that going on with mine.

Another complaint I hear about is the gap between the sliders and the cars body. That's another detail Dissent has thought about. These steps are an extension of the vehicle's frame. They should not be tight to the body because the frame and the body have different inertia and movements and they could damage each other if they were in close contact. It's truly a protection added to the underbody of the car. If I was starting over I'd upgrade the slides before anything else.

PS

The predator steps take so much away from the car. I think the LC looks better without them specially if you have upgraded wheels and tires. Not only that, they make the car look really low to the ground but without them the car looks lifted. Also they're not really good aerodynamically and they are light and hollow. My gas mileage actually improved a little without the predator steps and the heavy dissent sliders added.
