Hi Everybody,

My name is Ryan Crane. I work for Bilstein Shock Absorbers as the Senior Technician in our R&D department. We're looking for LC250s to develop our product on. If you are in the Southern California region, please feel free to reach out or you can follow the link below to our website. While I'm new here, I promise this is legit. I've been a technician with Bilstein for close to 7 years and we work out of our Headquarters in Poway, CA in San Diego County. In exchange for loaning us your vehicle we'll give you a free set of shocks and install them on your vehicle once the parts are in production. We'll provide you with a loaner vehicle while we use yours. If you have a questions please feel free to reach out and I'm happy to explain any further details. The link below is directly to our website and explains the process in greater detail as well as lists all our current vehicle needs. Maybe you know someone with a different vehicle who would be interested. Thank you for you time.

Wish I was in the area, I might take you up on it. My only request would be that I'd like to tag along!

Hi, for how many days you are going to keep an LCLC. Then what loaner we will get? Also what type of shocks are we getting?

Looking forward to seeing the Bilstein offering to upgrade my suspension!
That's going t be really hard to do, it's really well designed as is.
Excellent rebound and damping really well done when new.
Adjustable rebound and damping is always an ongoing contest, the stock LC shocks are very very good.

I agree they are very good for an OE package but there is plenty of room for improvement. There's only so much you can do with a twin tube shock.

We've located a vehicle already. But depending on the project we're working on; it can be 1 week to 1 month. We usually try to return your vehicle as quickly as possible. And I'll keep you updated on our progress. In return we can usually offer a 6112-kit installed by us, once parts are in production.

I've driven as far as Phoeniz and Vegas in the right circumstances but the closer to San Diego the better.
Well Through the years the only shocks I have used are Billy's there was only 1 exception on my 96 FJ80 I used Old Man Emu. Every other vehicle has been Bilstein's so I would gladly do it because that is my shock of choice! You let me know.

I'm not suggesting that the OE shocks are bad, but when I see Toyota putting on upgraded shocks on the TRD Pro and TrailHunter, that suggests to me that even Toyota thinks they can be improved for off road use. Bilstein's success in building super responsive shocks that keep a vehicle planted off road while smoothing out the higher speed bumps is one of the reasons I'm looking forward to seeing their offering. And, of course, I still want my LC to handle well on road.
