Looked through the owner’s manual and didn’t find which settings to turn off when using a PakMule. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Backing up every time was meant with sensors going off and auto-braking….

There's a reverse parking support sensor button to the left of your steering wheel, hit that. It will still alarm but won't auto brake. You can turn down the volume of the alarm in the dash settings.

You're running into the same issues as having a bike rack (many posts on this). My solution was to install the magnet from an electric trailer brake and power it utilizing the 7 pin trailer connection. When I plug into the 7 pin connector it auto-disables all the BS and I don't have to remember to push the button etc..... Unplug it and everything is back to normal.

Does the camera still run with your configuration? (Have not had any reason to investigate the towing settings, and wouldn't be surprised if it just shut off the camera since it assumes there's a trailer there.)

Hadn't really paid attention, I think so or I'd have noticed the lack of it on the screen.

You will need to disable the button on the left that has the trunk lid, a star and traffic cone. You will also need to go into the settings on the steering wheel and find a similar looking icon and turn that off. You will have no beeping or lock up after that. I keep my bike rack on most of the time and have zero issues with the beeping or braking.
