Driving with the digital key ONLY

My main concern wouldn't be cyber security (although that is a concern) It would be a damaged phone or a dead phone and not being able to use the feature. I would highly suggest having a back up way for unlocking/starting your vehicle.
That was my first thought. Several times I've let my cell phone battery get discharged.

My 1 year subscription just expired and I would not mind paying $15/mo if the feature worked reliably.

In my experience it does not work reliably and/or I have to take my phone out of my pocket and and unlock it and/or have to try and start the car a dozen time for all the computers to talk with each other. At the end of the day it takes me 10X longer than just having the key.

I personally do not have any security concerns using the feature; and i rarely have the battery in my phone low enough to be concerned. It is a great feature if it worked; but for how flaky it is, I have 0% interest in paying for said feature.
