Black vs. White LC LC? I am deeply struggling with my decision on choosing the right color. My heart says black but my lifestyle says white.

Should I choose black or white LC LC Premium?

How about underground? I have the same disorder....can't make a decision to save my life....lol. The black is awesome but hard to keep nice. The white is classy and easy. Hard choice.

Welcome to the forum (y)

I could have lived with any of the available colours, but the dealership ultimately made the choice for us when an incoming model in Traildust became available after the deposit was placed. I actually like the colour, but would have liked any of them truth be told.

This is the question that has haunted me my entire life. Black or white???

I started a poll a month or two on this very subject.

I always say I am going to buy something besides black.....however, I always go back to black.

Every color on the LC is sharp. I love white as well as black. Whenever, I see a white one, I'm ready to
go find a new '27 in white. Then I see a black one and love the elegance of it. Both are great colors.

I have a '24 Black over black Premium. My next one, I think I'll compromise and try the new black (inked), however, I'll get the Java leather.

Hey everyone! I’m so close to pulling the trigger on buying my 2027 LC LC Premium, but I have severe indecisive disorder and cannot decide between black or white (Ice cap).

Every time I see a black LC250 I break my neck. I think it’s the most beautiful car I have ever seen. The ones on the road that I have seen are always pretty clean though.

I haven’t bought a new car in over 10 years and I have sworn up and down I would never buy a black car again, but that was in my early 20s and I’m much more grown-up now and much more responsible… ish.

The thing is, I want a freedom car. I want to be able to pick up and go camping or off roading or on a long road trip grand adventure and never once feel worried about if I get it dirty or scratch it. I know with black, that first scratch is going to really hurt. I plan to really live it up outdoors with this LC.

I live in Los Angeles and I park in an open garage by the beach, but it’s covered. I never really look at the white in the same way that I look at the black. The white looks so beautiful and close-up I think it’s so nice, but when it’s passing me on the street my jaw doesn’t drop like it does when I see the black. The black is just so mysterious and luxurious and rugged all at the same time. The white is rugged and fun.

But long term, I just don’t know if black is a smart decision and if I’ll get tired of cleaning it and feeling bad or held back on going on an adventures because I’d be scared to scratch it up. I never see off roading LC in black.

IF I do choose the white, I saw someone wrap the top with black and along the window line and it really made it look so sharp. I’d probably do something like that. (Will put a photo example)

Any advice would be so much appreciated 🙏 I really need to make up my mind soon..

Oh and then Java or black interior?! I love them both so much. Literally losing my mind. Hahaaaa but I’M SO EXCITED!!

THANK YOU!!!!🙏

I would be concerned that one day I would wake up, after having lived up until that point knowing I picked what the internet forum told me to, and wonder what another internet forum would have thought.

As I drove down the street in my white (or black) LC, I would see people looking at me and I would be wondering if they were silently judging my decision(s) and if they knew of a superior forum from which I could find the answer(s).

"Did I choose correctly?" I would shout into the void, and at random strangers in the WalMart parking lot. I would never know, as they nervously pulled their kids closer and told them not to make eye contact.

My thoughts exactly. That is why I would definitely go with black....or white....or.....

WHITE: you can blend on the traffic roads
BLACK: you can hide in the woods
😜 above are just somewhat truth
But here is the reality:
BLACK when it is clean and polished , it looks so up-scale, conservative, and manly. But it keeps you busy to wash more often (ask me how I know 😜)
WHITE always looks good no matter in clean or a bit dusty condition. However, 80% vehicles on roads are white and/or off-white (silver, light gray, etc.)
Bottom line, either one is the winner. Flipping a coin and go from there 😆

If you give into your logical side and get white, you risk saying "dang, I should've gotten black" every time you look at it, even if it is easier to maintain.

If you go with your heart and get black, the risk would be "what a pain to maintain, but dang it looks good."

For me, personally, I'd have an easier time living in the second camp.

Toyota is missing out on market share by not catering to you.
Sure, you could do it with a wrap, but they should do it from the factory.
Today you are feeling like a white car - approach from the white side - looks amazing.
Tomorrow you want black, we got you covered.

This is the answer. /thread LOL

Called it.
A black or white paint poll on the first forum post? Bold move. Also suspicious.

Check out this bit of magic I (or anyone) can do:

Bold prediction time!

OP joins forum @ 0618. 26 minutes later, @ 0644, OP posts a poll w/ accompanying novel begging for the forum to decide between two colors. It's an emergency y'all!!! 1 minute later, @ 0645, OP logs out to not return after 27+ hours (at time now).

I predict that OP is either 1) A bot, 2) An engagement queen that never contributes outside of commentary (aka, a human bot), or 3) A Nigerian prince with all kinds of LC 250 parts and pieces laying about for ridiculously good prices (via cash app, FB pay and venmo f&f of course). Just a prediction, and I'm not Nostradamus, but I'm feeling pretty aligned with the stars today :ROFLMAO:

If you get black buy yourself a duster to keep it shiny. I think black hides the lines of the LC and can make it look like all the other boxy SUV's from a distance.

My wife and I went with Meteor Shower as a compromise, since black is strictly off-limits for her. Meteor Shower is a beautiful color, but it just isn't black. I see black ones and they tug at my heartstrings. I don't think my LC, Duke, knows that I'm looking at them this way, but I wonder.

Consequences be damned! The many posters rightly pointing out that black is a higher maintenance color mostly don't long to own a black truck, but if you do, go for it! You only have one life to live. Spend it caring for a coating that calls to you! If it doesn't, find the color that does. Layering on a bunch of logistical concerns doesn't necessarily improve your satisfaction in the end - it just makes the decision harder.

Plus, if you have the $$$, PPF is a thing.
