3 Numbers Below Vin

Anyone know the significance of the 3 numbers below the VIN.

It’s a factory production sequence number used internally by Toyota during assembly. Each vehicle that rolls off the line gets a number like this, and it usually indicates the order in which it was built at that specific plant. So if yours says 272, it likely means it was the 272nd vehicle of that particular model (or drivetrain variant) produced in that run. Huh...mine is "250"...I assumed it just referred to "Land Cruiser J250"

If that is the sequence number it’s just for internal tracking and that’s it. It has nothing to do with model or anything like that. You have to see if it matches the body # which should be on the radiator support under the hood.
