2025 toyota landcruiser
I am set to receive my 2025 Land Cruiser with premium package. I have read about how challenging it is to get the desired settings in place like - distance control, ignition control (where it shuts off at stop lights), disabling the control where the car watches your eyes, etc. Does anyone have a link for navigating my way through the settings?

Personally, I recommend reading through the manual when you get the vehicle and taking the time to familiarize yourself with how to navigate the menus and what the safety sense settings each entail…as your preferences may vary from others here. (The owners manual is also available in PDF format from Toyota’s website)

I really only disable anything that related to automatic steering, and decrease the sensitivity of “Proactive driving assist” (PDA).

Also, assuming this will be a US model, it’s a hybrid, so the engine will cut off at stop lights and go into electric mode as long as the hybrid battery is sufficiently charged. This is NOT the same thing as “auto stop/start” on a non-hybrid ICE powered vehicle (even though it’s performing a similar action), and not something you want to or need to disable.

(I have a 1958, so I can’t speak to the driver attention monitor cams)

Manual for 2024 and a couple of cheat sheets......

I don't think the settings are challenging to get in place, once you familiarize yourself with navigating the LC's systems. I came from a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, so the LC had way more new technology. I read the manual before I took delivery, but had no clue how half of these features operated or what they meant until I owned the LC for a couple of weeks. What seemed complex at the time of delivery became very understandable after a bit of time behind the wheel.

^^ Very true.

Reading the manual is one thing, but it takes some time actually driving the vehicle to see how those safety features work in real life.

I was initially of the mind that I was going to turn off all of the nanny features, but after living with them for a month, guess how many are still active? Hint: I didn't find the "check rear seat" feature very valuable, so that was turned off. I still get to admire the rear seat dash indicator and hear the extra beeps when locking the vehicle.
