All, I'm not dealing with this currently and assume most folks aren't dealing with it yet either. However, I was curious if anybody was already worrying about how they were going to clean any corrosion off the terminals of the 12V battery if/when it happens? My old-school toothbrush and baking soda water trick would be sure to be messy.

Any thoughts?

Gentle wire brush with shop vac nozzle in close proximity might be a plan. Corrosion can make a mess you wouldn’t want strewn all over the cargo area.

I got a set of three brushes (steel, brass, stiff nylon bristles that look like upsized toothbrushes) cheap at the auto parts store that have been handy for about $6.

I usually use steel wire brushes for cleaning up brake calipers during a brake job, the other two being more gentle on lead terminals. I cleaned the terminals often enough on my Jeep that the nylon would remove most of the corrosion that built up.
