So I screwed up my wiper blade on my 2025 LC. I didn't know about the auto rain sensing wipers, and couldn't figure out how to turn them off when I went into a car wash. The wiper arm is significantly bent. I bought a replacement, but now I am having the hardest time removing the damaged one to replace it. I've bought two different styles of wiper arm pullers, but due to the shape of the plastic cowling underneath the base of the wiper arm, you can't get either style of puller underneath. Has anyone else tried to do this and been successful? I really don't want to damage the linkage or motor.

In my experience, the attachment of the wiper arm to the mechanism generally requires a little more patience to remove because the attachment may be slightly conical. You might be able to borrow a windshield puller tool from a local auto parts store. I've always been able to remove them by gently wiggling the wiper and it would gradually come lose. Removal tool in pic below.

tried that one and another style, neither could get past the cowling which tightly envelops the base of the wiper. Tried wiggling with as much as I'm willing to put into it. At this point, I think I need to suck it up and take it to the dealer.

I always take off the plastic cowling when removing the wiper blade.

I assume you meant wiper arm, but nevertheless, I didn't think about doing that... I can try that I guess. turns a 5 minute job into a much longer job, but at this point I'll try anything.

I went out and looked at the assembly this morning. I don't think you can remove the plastic cowling. You might gently use a small prybar to help force off the blade? Stating the obvious - I would not use the pry bar directly against the windshield or plastic. But, if you have use a piece of plywood between the windshield and pry bar, that might be enough to get it off. Those wiper arms are almost always tought to get off!
