White stuff in the dip stick?

I was checking oil for the first time, noticed the white stuff. This normal?
I cleaned 4-5 times and still see white stuff but get clear.

Can’t tell what I’m looking at from your photos since the camera isn’t focused on the dipstick.

Your description is kind of vague too.

So you have a white substance or surface condition permanently on the dipstick?

Or

There is some white substance embedded in the dipstick?

Or

There is a white substance on the dipstick mixed with the oil or above the oil on the dipstick?

If it’s the last option check your coolant reservoir and if safely possible your radiator. This could indicate a blown head gasket and white/gray/milk chocolate colored frothy liquid on your dipstick is water or coolant in the oil. Which is bad. Very very bad. If it’s not present at all I once warmed up fully to operating temp and run for 15-20 minutes it could just be condensation (which is still a bit odd but not terrible).

Otherwise if it’s just a film or discoloration of the dipstick and it annoys you grab some fine sand paper or a scotchbrite pad and remove it down to bare metal.

I would send an oil sample off to Blackstone Labs, or SPEEDiagnostix.. IMMEDIATELY.

If you frequently drive short trips in the winter, stuff like this happens across all brands. But if after a long drive you still see that, I would be concerned.
