Hello,

Ever since I watched a video of somewhere who has a GM 6.2L V8 here in the states they mentioned that in other countries around the world with that same engine they do not use OW20 or 0W40 weight oils in those engines.

I'm curious what other countries that have the 2.4L gas engine in the LC250 models are being recommended to run from TOYOTA themselves for those engines.

Thank you to all in advance and Safe travels to all.

My manual attached calls for any API gas oil grade from SL up to SP and viscosity from 0W20 up to 10W30.

The car is Saudi Arabia spec and the dealer here uses either semi synthetic 10W30 or fully synthetic 5W30 oils for the Prado/250 land cruiser.

Thank you Yousef, interesting to note as here in the US manuals it only mentions the 0W-20 oil and no other options on the chart given. It does mention owners are able to use 5W-20 but must replace with 0W-20 on their next oil change if the OEM spec oil is not available. I'm curious what a Philippine spec car will say as I believe they are one of the very fuel countries other than yours that uses just the T24-FTS without the hybrid.

I'm sure your manual specs the lighter oils for fuel economy/environmental regulations in your market.
I believe only the North American market got the petrol hybrid where most other markets got the non-hybrid variant of the petrol engine.
Mine is the 2.8 diesel variant and even here it's equipped with Euro 6 immisions standard (DPF+Adblue) and in other markets it can be had without any immisions control not even EGR 😀
