Maybe we could merge some threads?

(Rant over.)

I’m going to start another thread about how we have too many threads and need to reduce the threads, just to spite you!

Kidding of course. This is an age-old problem that has always accompanied forums - and it can def be annoying.

Back in my day... there was a button to "merge" this kind of crap or the Mods just made a management decision to delete one. I honestly don't think deleting any of the "fuel" threads will be a lose for the community

I feel like most people want spoon fed. They can't be bothered to search, or read, so they start a new thread asking questions. These are probably the same people who don't read the manual. That's my theory.

"I bought a heavy, full-time 4WD box with the aerodynamics of a wall and I'm mad! My 1983 Super Ultra Platinum Cummins Quad Cab on 44s gets better mileage and this LC sucks! It needs a twin turbo charged V12 AND should get 35 MPG because I can't be bothered with anything less!"

By the way, has anyone tried removing the roof rack or crossbars to get better MPG?

In fairness, searching a forum can be wearisome. Search results include so many of the redundant hits and their resulting comments condemning each OP for not conducting an adequate search. Furthermore, even in the primary thread for a given topic, one has to wade thru many irrelevant and / or erroneous posts in order to discern an accurate response or resolution.

I’ve been using forums for a couple of decades. Flawed, inefficient databases at best.
