Very fun video - the 250 is the silent hero in this one!

This should probably help alleviate ANY concerns about the 250 and water crossings....... freaking insane what they took these vehicles thru

There's a 1.3km crossing at the end of the video, and the 250 is pushing the 79 the entire way... super impressive

Americans watching this video could easily be misled. The version they are driving in this video has a different drivetrain which is capable of much deeper water crossings. The iforcemax which is what we Americans get is not equipped for crossings like the one in the video - please read your owner’s manual!

Great channel, by the way. One of my favorites on YouTube. Bunch of great lads.

Thanks for sharing, that was a great video. Really impressed by the 250.

AU journalists managed to sank prado earler this year during short review, so it is insane that the prado from the video went through that massacre 🤯 Maybe Toyota took their experience into account and made some improvements or owner mayde some modifications to seal it better 🤔

Also lc120 (grandpa?) deserves honorable mention for keeping up with it’s descendant 😅

I’m going to guess that the 250 in the video you posted was simply unlucky. Even the most reliable of vehicles can have lemon.

Rough internet search shows LC250 hybrid iForce Max has a 500mm maximum water fording depth vs. 700mm for non-hybrid.
I'm not an expert in swimming with 4WD, but I have felt few times a sensation of losing grip relative to wadding depth. Vehicle start to float because of Archimedes. Always check the ford on foot.

No need to cross Simons desert, or Namibia, juste drive to France in Bretagne. Over there, few parkings or roads are classified as submersible. You park to eat a Breton pancake and when you return to your car, it has water up to the axle.
