Has anyone installed the Victory 4x4 skid plate package? I received the engine plates but having a heck of a time trying to get them installed. The pictures on their website show the engine skid being one big piece, but I received 2 smaller pieces. I can't find any installation instructions and the video they have is for a Tacoma, while also showing the one piece skid.

Mine will be here on Tuesday. This is good to know. Sounds like the DV8 setup.
I called them this morning and got some direction. Apparently in the past few weeks, they updated it into a two piece design. Got it installed a little bit ago with no issue.

Yeah I was surprised to find that out too when I opened mine up. Also for the engine skid the “documentation” is a single piece video of a Tacoma… not helpful when they make a significant change to their design.

Yep! I’m actually going to be returning mine because I had issues with the trans skid lining up and it had been a month and still no diff skid. I bought a kit from Skee that looks a lot nicer.

The transmission skid aligned fine but I had to remove the small skid for the sway bar disconnect. Look like they just finished a batch of diff skids. Mine is on the way.

Are the Skee aluminum? Are they frame mounted?

How do you like the new two piece design? Do you think it is just as strong as a one piece? Does the Victory front plate hang much lower than the OEM plate?

I’m curious to know how difficult it will be to remove and replace the oil filter plate once the skid plate is installed. I wish the nuts were tack welded.

I took oil filter plate off, sooner or later the nuts are going to spin, the top one came off no problem, bottom one wanted to spin, I don't think this was thought out very well, just like the oil drain hole, could get messy with oil.
Have Rivet Nuts installed, I did mine with kit from Harbor Freight, will probably take it fab shop and have them install steel ones and I don't thing the Aluminum rivet nuts will hold up, also going to having the oil drain hole enlarged so I can get my hand up there. I gave them some feedback, but doubt they use it, this the response I got from them.

1) Mounting Points (Rivnuts/Welded Nuts): The design currently utilizes through-bolts for simplicity and strength, but I understand the convenience welded nuts or rivnuts would offer. I've passed this along to our engineering team for future design considerations. If you do decide you want to install rivnuts you would want to use 5/16 rivnuts (and longer hardware).
2) Great point on accessibility, especially when using a Fumoto valve, while we aimed to provide protection without compromising serviceability, I can understand that there's room for improvement with access holes or hand clearance, admittedly it is tight, but we have been able to service the 250 and oil by reaching through and around the skid without removing it.
3). Transmission Skid Design: The two-piece design is a mostly due to shipping costs. We prefer to manufacture one piece skid when possible, but the shipping rates were astronomical for this specific vehicle and would have added a couple hundred dollars to the product and likely sustained damage in transit.
4) Tow Hook Reinstallation: Yes, the factory tow hooks can be reinstalled with this skid system.
6) Those smaller holes up front are for our jig when we are manufacturing the bumper to ensure the skid is secured in place during fabrication.
7) We don't currently have a front bash plate that bridges the gap between the front bumper and the engine skid plate but we are in process of designing the front Blitz bumper for the LC250 which should be available in the coming weeks. Generally our bumpers and skids when installed together leave very little gap between them.

Thanks for sharing!
No problems, also did this to the skid plate enlarged the square hole to get to the oil drain area, my jigsaw skills are not the best, but I can get my hand in there now, probably could have went 3/4" on the sides and front instead of and inch.

When you mention sides and front, did you just measure 1 inch from both sides and front, meaning the the area closest to the front end of the vehicle?

Question, how much space is there between the bottom of the skid plate and the drain plug?

I ordered the aluminum skid. No need to paint anything… I should ask. What is the new size of the hole? Thanks again
