Anyone have any experience with these? Wondering what the install looks like.
Pull the back two trim pieces (along the rear window and where the handles go), enlarge the holes to fit the nutserts, then install the handles and replace the back trim place.
The front hole is a pain in the ass with the nurtsert. There is some metal behind it that makes it difficult to install flush, and it needs to sit flush in order to make the handle sit right.
As a heads up, they cost me the $268 plus an $80+ bill from FedEx about a month later for import taxes (that I was never told would be passed on to me).
I won’t waste another penny with this company.
I wanted these for a while now. I sent them a note about shipping and import costs They said there are no import or shipping costs. I am not doubting you and they may be lying but the email they sent says my total costs are $268. If that is true I'm all over that.
They strangely asked for my SIN before shipping (I did not provide.. assuming they wanted SSN, as SIN in equivalent in Canada, I think). Then they asked for my FedEx account, which I said I didn’t have one. Then they later responded “Thanks for your quick response, your order has been shipped. FedEx request for SIN or Register account number per new tariff policy.” However, they never said they were passing any cost on to me. I’ve attached page two of my FedEx invoice for you to see.
I paid the invoice, but have filed a complaint against the seller with FedEx. Starks Off-road also mentioned they made the price look lower to make the tariff less, which I would think is illegal.
And when I asked them about it after I received the invoice, they said that it should have been 98 CNY instead of 98 USD and asked me to discuss with FedEx. So they didn’t say that I wasn’t supposed to owe money to FedEx. They said it should have been a lesser amount.
