I would suggest using a "Gland" either through one of the existing grommet opening or drill a new hole.

If you remove the Dvr's side trim panel in the "D" pillar area are some large grommets/plugs that may work for what you want.

Currently working on this—removed bumper covers, driver’s side trays, and trim near the hybrid battery. Used frame grommets to route positive wire from the top of rear bumper down, making small holes in the grommet to keep it weather-tight and came out near drivers exhaust bracket. Grounded to the frame near the hitch to avoid running extra wires inside. Adding an Anderson plug for the DC/DC charger to top off trailer batteries while driving.
