Having trouble with your Toyota Digital Key on Android? Here's a tip that might help!
Recently, the Digital Key feature in the Toyota app experienced downloading and syncing issues after an Android app update. If you already had the key downloaded, it would get stuck in a "syncing" state, making it impossible to use Digital Key to operate your vehicle. Attempts to download or re-download the key would consistently halt around the 30% mark.
Toyota has since released an app update that addresses this problem. However, if you're still facing issues downloading your digital key on Android, try this: turn off Developer Options in your phone's system settings. For some reason, having Developer Options enabled was interfering with the Digital Key download process.
The digital key was a big selling point for me on the premium package. I use it as my primary key around town and having it not work for 2 months was driving me crazy!
