Those who switched Rock Sliders with Illuminated Running Boards

I am switching my FE rock sliders for an illuminate running board from an LCLC Premium. Is there a hidden plug harness underneath my FE that works with the illuminated running board?

I just installed lighting running boards and plugged them in, but they do not light up and neither do the lights on the mirrors on my first edition.
I'm thinking maybe there's a dedicated fuse for it and there's no fuse in there.
I'm also wondering if there might be a setting in the entertainment center to turn them on or off, although I can't imagine they would be. But if so,I imagine it would have to be programmed in for vehicles that come with them already installed.
Any help?

Did your mirror light worked before the installation? Everything worked on mine after the install and I have an LC FE too.

No they did not

It should have if it's an FE. I don't think there's an on and off switch in the settings. You may have to bring it to the dealer.

That's what I'm thinking so far. I'm thinking it's in the program but only on their side and not owner accessible.

I have a FE and replaced the OEM rock sliders with the Toyota illuminated running boards. The lights on the running boards worked properly after being plugged into the built-in plug/harness.

I can’t remember ever seeing lights on the mirrors, but will check.

EDIT: I do see the amber lens on the side mirrors for the turn signals. But no other lights found.

Somewhat related question if yall don't mind my asking. Why did yall switch from protective frame mounted sliders to the illuminated steps?

We have the premium with the illuminated steps and eventually want to switch to an aftermarket dual step/slider.

@AgRN16 in my case the LC won’t be doing any rock climbing and we needed a step for easier access.

So, I was able to do a 1-for-1 trade with another forum member.
