Has anyone upgraded their swaybars? Found some info below taken from YouTube videos, sarahntuned, and online etailers websites, superpros/belltech. What I find interesting is that the LC has the same diameter swaybar as the GX and yet people say the GXs ride feels planted. The LC doesn’t feel as planted… The 6g 4Runner has thinner swaybars and yet yt reviewers claim that the 4R feels planted when driving as well. I wonder if the springs and shocks of the GX and 4R are stiffer than what the LC uses.

On that note, does anyone know about disconnectable swaybar endlinks for the 250 vehicles?

Landcruiser 1958 edition
Rear swaybar 21.24mm
Front swaybar 36.66mm

GX550 Luxury
Rear swaybar 21.76mm
Front swaybar 36.07mm

6g 4Runner Trailhunter
Rear swaybar 21.37mm
Front swaybar 33.59mm

Superpros Adjustable swaybars LC250
Rear 24mm
Front 34mm

Beltech Adjustable swaybar model 5585
Rear 28mm

As soon as I put the KO3's on with the firmer sidewalls, the Landcruiser felt more planted. These comparisons are rarely apples to apples
I agree. I installed some Toyo at3 LT285/75R17 C loads and the vehicle feels better on pavement. However, the car still feels a bit boaty and I wonder if swaybars would do anything especially when compared to our other 250 variants, ie 4Runner and GX550.

The superpros ones look to be 2mm thinner but they are adjustable. I wonder if setting them on the lightest setting would be good for off-roading while the medium and stiffest settings be better for on road. I’ve been looking at yt videos for off road swaybars and it seems like there is still some benefit to having them if they are not super stiff.

Tires and pressure.
If your running a factory sway bar, your all set. The factory stuff is very well designed and optimized.
If not suffer.
Pimpers and low end influencers that don't have real jobs and the skills required have an agenda, there is always an agenda, obvious or not.

Typically I would agree but man the LC is a boaty ride, even after upgrading the tires. Much less so now but still not sporty at all. Lots of yt reviewers have said the 4R and GX550 seem to have better body roll management. I wonder if it’s mainly due to the suspension though… That said, dirtlifestyle is the ytber that I’ve been watching that has said a thin swaybar has benefits for off-road performance. Just want to be clear that I am not advocating for not running swaybars but the opposite. I want better onroad performance with less body roll management and yet good off road performance.

Similarly, Tein now has LC250 Endura-Pro struts/shocks that can be adjusted for damping from the cockpit with their EDFC controllers. There are lots of videos on Tein EDFC.

4x4 Engineering Service has also worked with Aisin to make LC250 motion control beams (MCB).

I was driving mine last night and thinking about this there is very little roll remaining and it's not bouncy at all now, but I did have to sort the air pressure out. Was wondering what pressure you're running and did you sort that out? I'm not sure how the stiffness of the sidewalls of the AT3's compares to the KO3's.

Apparently the 2025 GX front sway bar is around 44mm
I wish someone would come up with a larger diameter option for the SDM
The rear bar from Belltec seems way too stiff at 28mm
Same as the Tundra
