Speed limit warning beep fix

Just looking through the latest Toyota bulletins and it looks as though we may be able to disable the speed limit warning beep easier in the near future, after a multimedia unit update.

We don’t have this in the US. There is a visual warning on HUD and screen, but no beep.

Sure we do. Mine is set to beep (and change the dash speed limit sign to red) when I'm 5 mph over (you have other choices as well)...

Well...you're both right... yeah, it is an option on US models, but the difference is that it is disabled by default. Apparently for the UK models, it's enabled by default AND resets itself each time the vehicle is turned off, making it a lot more annoying if you don't want the feature enabled.

Be glad, in the UAE all vehicles are set to give warning along with beeps when exceeding 120km/h (~74mph). and it warns EVERY time when you dip below that speed and exceed it again. no way of turning it off.
