Howdy,

I’m planning on installing a custom square switch in my liftgate to control the LED Lights.

I’m planning on using a single OEM style square switch in the warning sticker area to the right of the LCLC lift gate controls but need to be able to mount it.

Anyone have a link to a single gang square OEM style switch plate? The female receptacle?

Maybe a two gang carved up and epoxy it to the inside is my backup but having a hard time finding the plates.

Thanks!!

I have never seen an after-market "cube" switch socket that you could graft on to a panel for sale.

I have done this many times with various style switches and have always use an OEM trim panel that I cut the "socket" out of then plastic welded it to the underside of the panel. Some older Tacomas and Camerys use the "cube" switches for certain functions and the panels can be purchased for a reasonable price. To be honest they didn't look near as good as a flush mounted round switch. below are two examples of what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the intel. That was my worry…

Shame someone doesn’t make a single, double, and triple gang with a nice flange where you could just drill a sloppy hole and drop in place.

Perhaps a 3d print effort on the horizon.

Love that hatch switch in the back. With the Key Card I don’t have a hatch switch in the back when sleeping and that would be a nice add. Did you run that all the way up to the drivers knee panel or find somewhere closer to trigger it?

For the "hatch" .......... I made a breakout harness and sistered the dash switch, only because I had ran too many wires through the hatch boot. For the Glass switch (far easier mod) I ran two new wires through the hatch boot to the glass lock and "posi-tapped" the wires. (details are on my build page).
