Seeking new product ideas

Hey everyone,

Thought i'd just put out a blanket notice. I am looking to see what you would like us to design and build for the LC's? Currently, we manufacture and sell the Cool box Trays as well as the sunglasses tray that fits on top of your rearview mirror. There are copycats out there that charge a LOT more and some a little less, but none of them are built out of ASA and come with custom-cut liners. We also make EVERYTHING in my garage in Northern Michigan.

2 main things we'd like to work on would be:

1. New storage solutions
2. Bezels and covers

Where are you thinking it would mount to? I'd be interested in helping you test products as well. Always good to help fellow vets!

We are looking at the side compartments, designing an adapter to insert directly making those into cupholders.

I’ll second something to replace the cup holders in the cargo area. Even a try like the 4Runner would be more useful. I’ve not looked at them yet but I hear the oem rock rails have open pipes. I’m wondering if a plug might keep corrosion from forming inside the pipes in the long run.

I don't see the sunglass tray in your website. Only products relevant to the LC showing up in your website are the coolbox trays...

Where would you like to mount it at?

Somewhere handy, maybe down on the seat rail neatly tucked up under the front of the seat, where other's have mounted extinguishers.. or maybe back in the cargo area.

What are your manufacturing capabilities? For example, you are entirely a 3d print shop, if so what materials and how big can you go?

First on everyone's mind is storage solutions. Like others, I'd also like to see a tray that sits is anchored by sitting in the third row that could hold small items. I'm thinking maps, paperback book, toiletries, that kind of stuff. It would have perforations so I could use bungee cords or velcro to secure items tall enough sides to keep things from rolling out. Perhaps 4"x6" with 3 inch tall sides. Not sure on the dimensions - would have to play around a bit.

Would love to see some sort of capability to hold a proper sized Yeti bottle like the one pictured. Ideally reachable from the driver's seat somewhere. IMO one of the biggest fails with this vehicle is not being able to carry a proper water bottle in the doors.

I don’t know if it’s within your capabilities, but it would be nice for someone to build paintable flush fitting hitch cover that could be attached by the product being inserted into the hitch…
