Seat upholstery construction?

I have the leather interior. But I know in years past, only the area where your butt and back sit are actual leather. Everything else is vinyl. Is there any documentation to show what parts of the seats are leather vs vinyl? I want to use conditioner but some leather conditioners say to not use on vinyl (Leather Honey). I don’t like how the leather seats become harsh and brittle after a few years. I want to keep the seats soft

No documentation, but if you look at the seams under the seats you should be able to verify if it's not what you think it is.

That’s a great question most modern “leather” interiors are actually a mix of real leather on the seating surfaces and vinyl on the sides or backs, which is why some conditioners don’t always work as intended. Checking your owner’s manual can usually clarify what materials are used.

Have 1year old premium LC250 in underground and just had Toyota apply for warranty coverage of wear hole in my drivers side front seat .Very disappointed as I've sat on 20 year old leather seats in LandCruiser that look almost perfect .Anyone else seeing these problems on '24 LC premium editions?

I’ve had no problems with Miss Daisy’s leather seats.

Did they cover it? I also have one at 30,000 miles and they said normal wear at the dealership
