Screeching noise in reverse

Hey all- got an FE 2-3k miles on it. Noticed anytime I go in reverse lately only for first few seconds there is a loud screeching / squealing sound. Only happens in reverse for the initial moments. Has anyone else experienced this or familiar with this phenomenon ? Have never heard the sound in any other scenario with the car.

My 24' FE brakes sometimes squeal really Lowd when backing up. Usually if it rained out or was put away wet. Anyone else experiencing this?

Does anyone else exerience brakes squeel in reverse? Mine seems to do it mostly after it has sat for a while. I only notice it in reverse.

Has anyone tried this? I started getting the same squealing during reverse during mornings. I'm at about 700 miles. Today, I tried something different and did not get the squealing. Prior to backing up, I manually un-parked by flipping up the Park button and no squeal. I will continue to experiment with this.

Hi all, I also have this issue. I have 2K miles and am waiting to take it in until a known fix is available. I called my local dealer and they haven’t heard about it.

There are so many people who have posted about the problem, but I’m yet to hear anyone has had their issue resolved.

Are there any resolutions out there?

Yes, mine has been doing this for months. I keep it in the garage and no matter the temp or weather it is always screeching.

I just returned from Totyota today and they told me that Toyota is aware and they don't have a solution at this time.
They also said "it only happens once a day, correct" which is not acceptable.

I have 4,500 miles, any other comments?

I've started doing a prophylactic 'hard break' when backing out of the garage. It seems to mitigate the issue somewhat. Instead of screeching every time I back up, now it's about 1/3 of the time and less loud.

Please call Toyota customer service 1-800-331–4331 to complain about the brake noise. Mine have squealed since the day I bought it and I’m at 5000 miles.They told me they won’t fix this or put out an TSB until enough. People complain to them

Just purchased 2025 LC with less than 400 miles and I’ve also experienced the break screech when reversing out of the garage. Only occurred a couple of time thus far but definitely need to contact the dealership here in PA for sure

There are many threads on brake squeal in reverse. A few/some of us have had front rotor and pads replaced. Some/most with the problem have been put off.
