I'm looking to wire up the winch I've purchased. Initially, I was planning on running the positive wire all the way back to positive terminal of the battery in one unconnected line. However, I was thinking that there might be a need to disconnect or replace the line from the winch and didn't want to have a single, dedicated line. With that in mind, I'm considering running the power from the battery to a power distribution block that can support 350 AMPs with a 350 AMP circuit breaker back near the battery. Then I'd run a line from that distribution block to the winch.
