What does it take to remove the factory installed roof rack and replace with OEM roof rails. I own a 2024 Land Cruiser (LC) and it has a factory installed roof rack. I don't use or intend to use the rack. I would like to replace the rack with simple roof rails. Can the existing mounts for the rack be used to install roof rails? Thanks

It should not be a big deal. I just replaced my roof rails on LC Premium with FE roof rack (to each it's own
). You have to unscrew and slide off the upper part of the roof rack and then remove mounts. Just make sure that you have factory roof rails ready and install them immediately to prevent water coming into the openings.
