So I recently put on my rear cargo carrier on my hitch. I place my large cooler on it. However when I try to go in reverse the rear camera seat the cooler and triggers the truck to automatically “brake” and stop because it believes I’m going to hit something. Has
Anyone had this issue and is there a work around?

Cheers

Just push the button to the left side of your steering wheel to turn off rear brake backup support. It'll still beep but not break.

Turn Off PKSB through the menu, or use the button.

I have a bike rack and had the same issue, while it is pretty easy to just press the button, I almost always forgot (the bike rack doesn't stay on the vehicle and sometimes weeks go by etc....) I purchased a magnet from an electric trailer brake, wired that along with lights onto my bike rack........ now when I plug in the 7 pin trailer light connector, it auto disables the anti-backup crap.

Use the link below to see the details on my build page.

I recommend also turning off "Intuitive Parking Assist" in the settings in your dash. That combined with the physical parking brake button and you will have a good time.

(I have a bike rack mounted almost full time for 8 months of the year)
