Radar Detector USB C Cable

For those running a radar detector, I have gone through about 15 USB C to R11 cables that didn’t push enough voltage to trigger turning on my Escort 360 Max Mark II.

If you’re having the same issue, this one worked for me. I no longer have to unplug and plug it back in every time I start the car.

Going to try one, it would really solve a routing problem for me if it works. Which of the two LC USB-C plugs did you select, or does it matter?

This is the only one I have found to work. I went through 4-5 different ones. With this cord it didn’t matter which port I was plugged in to.

I eventually just hard wired in to the mirror.

Thanks, but I think it is worth trying first, and maybe there is a difference in radar brands as far as borderline power requirements. I don’t like anything attached to the windshield,, so I typically just Velcro to the top of the dash to avoid any windscreen distractions, and keeps the detector behind vs in front of any sunscreen in use.

I bought one from sticker fab that worked really well. They have two types, one with a converter and one without. The one with the converter works because our USB-C ports are not PD. out of the two ports. It doesn’t matter which one you use.
