I have posted about this in the middle of a couple other threads, but I think it deserves its own thread as it is quite a unique product.
I purchased this shelf and had it shipped from Pirate Camp Co in Australia. Shipping was just under $200 to the US and it was delivered in about 7 days from the time it shipped.
A little back story as to why I went this route— I wanted more storage in the LC. I previously have had Jeeps and most recently came from a Jeep Gladiator. Now those don’t have a ton of storage, but they have enough under-seat storage in the rear to suit my needs. As we all know, the LC literally has zero storage except for a few pockets around the battery in the back end.
So I started looking at seat back storage options, namely Velcro molle panels that attach to the back of the rear seats. But nobody makes one with the perfect fit yet.
Then I went to shelves. I like a few of the ones here in the US, but they all seem to be the same— a fixed shelf with limited room for getting things in and out, especially for the back end.
That’s when I stumbled upon this beauty from a post here on the forum. Somebody put a link to it and said it was a different option, but they weren’t sure about usability or quality.
So I bit the bullet and bought one. And I’m sure glad that I did. The quality is amazing. The install was easy. It really doesn’t have any rattles or much movement outside out what you would expect. And, most importantly, it holds everything I need and want to carry in the truck.
The design is unlike any other. The fact that you can pull it down for access to the back and put it back up to lock in place in a matter of seconds was a huge sell for me. And it works flawlessly.
I highly recommend this unique rear storage shelf.
