Painting Front & Rear Bumpers ?

I absolutely love the look of this new Land Cruiser. I have a black over black LE w/Prem Pkg.

The one element that has bothered my since seeing even these well-equipped LC's is the unpainted portions of the front and rear bumpers.

The LE LE Edition adds additional painted parts which is a great look. However, parts of the front and rear bumper are not painted and I don't care for the look.

I know this is designed this way to prevent scratches/damages to the paint when off-roading, etc. However, I don't off-road.

Has anyone had the front and back bumpers professionally painted to match the color of the body? I think leaving the natural fender flares looks okay and even gives a nice contrast/rugged look.

Maybe a wrap might be a good option? I think it'll be neat to see what your options are, from colors, matte/gloss. Keeping in mind that front bumper will get a lot of bug and rock attention. Just depends on how you want to go?

I have not yet had it done. I go back and forth between liking the mix of the unpainted bumpers and wondering about how painted would look.
Frankly, my hesitation comes from absolutely loathing non-factory paintwork on a vehicle. I prefer everything to be factory/OEM.

If you have black, can't you just get a 1958 lower valance and upper grille frame that are both black, and you are done in the front? Can get both OEM...

I know! I think they got it done at the factory but I have no idea how. SOMEBODY TELL ME HOW. I did ask the dealer (I know I know) if they had any insight and he said it would be very labor intensive and prob cost around $5k. He said he could recommend the body shop they use. Anyone think it’s a bad idea to use a dealers body shop rec?

Toyota decided to have front and rear bumper unpainted and independently replaceable pieces because LC is designed for all-terrain/multiple uses off-road/on-road where they can get dents and/scratches in harsh situations. It looks more tough LC (Land Cruiser)
All front and rear bumpers painted matching the body is total fine as “gentle/beautiful” MC (Mall Cruiser. Man…this 1-cent opinion will get rock throws)

Looks sharp.
There are parts of the world that offer the fully painted models from the factory.
I have seen photos from India and other foreign lands with the color match.
Did you happen to notice your steering wheel being on the right hand side?

I agree with you. Whatever makes someone happy with their LC is all that matters. This looks like a GX460 to me which looks like it should never leave pavement. Very nice luxury vehicle. Some folks think that is beautiful and that’s all great. One of my best friends has a 460 and loves it.
This is not my thing because then it doesn’t look like an off road type vehicle, but lots of folks don’t like my LC in white with black roof, etc. and that’s fine- I like it. I hope if guys want the all the same color scheme, they can figure it out.

I Totally get that! I go back and forth so will ultimately prob keep the plastic. The only off roading I really do is beach/dune driving.

I painted the rears (they paint easily) and left the fronts grey/silver. It's what I prefer and I recommend do what suits your style/taste.
