Off-roading in SoCal

Took the lc with stock suspension and 20 inch tires off-roading yesterday
Im very happy with how it handled difficult terrain with no clearance issues. I certainly would not have been comfortable tackling this terrain without a spotter. The suspension flex is impressive, never once I lost traction or hit the skids with the stock suspension.
This experience made it clear that raising the lc is unnecessary specially at the cost of losing down travel articulation which is much needed for rock crawling
One area that no one seems to talk about is the ability of using 4low without locking the center differential. This pays huge dividends in taking narrow sharp corners and is only unique to this platform. Would a Bronco or wrangler with 35s been better for difficult off-roading ? No doubt but for 99 percent of people this is more than enough capability while still serving as a everyday comfortable suv
