2025 LC Premium - Windchill Pearl
Hi everyone! I've been on this forum for a while but just recently took delivery of my 2025 LC with premium pkg and 20" wheels. My first truck-based SUV and loving it so far! However, I did notice a few things on which I'm hoping other owners can advise me. Thanks in advance!
  • The manual says I can display the electric boost/charge gauge in either the left or right area of the digital dashboard. But I've cycled through all the choices and couldn't find it. The only similar gauge I could find is the Turbo Boost gauge, which I don't care to see.
  • When I come to a stop with the gear in D, if the gas engine is running and the AC is blasting, I often hear a fairly loud rattling/buzzing noise that seems to come from under the hood. It's audible both in and outside of the car. Has anyone else experienced this?
  • Some of my settings, like turning on/off some safety nanny features in the multi-info display in the dash, don't seem to save consistently. Sometimes they persist after I turn off the car, but sometimes they don't and I have to set them again next time I drive it. It also happened with the bass/treble tuning of the sound system. Are all these settings tied to my profile and my mobile phone?

I've also seen some comments about displaying the electric boost/charge gauge, and similarly have not been able to find that option when I scroll through the menu.

BTW, this LC replaced a 2023 Highlander, so I'm quite familiar with the Toyota controls and interface. But I never had any issues with my settings not saving in the Highlander. The Highlander has the 2.5 version of Toyota Safety Sense, while the LC has the 3.0 version. Not sure what the exact differences are.

does become available based on whether you have single or dual circle gauges enabled?

The gauge may not be pre-selected for the boost/charge gauge, so you need to access the menu and select it. Then, scroll up or down, and you will find it as an option. In one of the three cluster settings, I have both the i-Force and max gauges displayed. I believe it is possible to display both even with the single-circle display, as I seen this in some videos. Unfortunately, it takes some time to get accustomed to navigating the settings.

I have the 12" dash and I have all three areas enabled - left circle, right circle, and the middle portion. I can't get the electric gauge to show in either the left or the right circle. I don't think the meter style matters, but I've tried the Smart and Sporty styles. No luck.

Thanks for replying! Can you give me a bit more detail on which specific menu setting I should be looking at? Is it in the Settings menu on the dash or on the infortainment screen?

You need to select the field and change it to that. I don’t think it is called something like max gauge.

-When you're scrolling through options in the left/right segments press left/right again and there's another menu list that lets you enable or disable certain screens in those segments.
-These vehicles make a lot of weird noises and the engines are very clacky in general. It's almost certainly not something to worry about but you can always ask your dealer.
-Short answer is some settings save and some don't unfortunately. The Front Cross Traffic Alert is the one everyone wants to save off but can't.

You are on a different dash style than mine. I have two big circles left and right, with a small display in the middle that can show map, lane keep info, etc. Inside the big circles, left or right, I can show the turbo boost gauge but can't find the electric boost gauge like what you have on the right of your dash.

I will try the left and right buttons again while scrolling up/down the choices inside the big gauge circles. But in the past when I did that, it just moves the focus from the left ring to the middle display area.

You may need to switch to one dial, unless anyone confirms that they have both turbo and hybrid gauges with two dials.

Is the menu setting in the dash, not in the infotainment. When you press and hold “OK” on you steering wheel, it will open, then with the arrows you can move around and then click ok to add/remove things. Your option for the battery use and charge must be unclicked. If I can, I will make a video and show you what I see. It should be exactly the same on yours. Good luck!

It took me a little bit to figure out those gauges too. But if you look closer when you get under the settings, you can either cursor to the left or cursor to the right cause the display is sectioned off into three sections and you can adjust each section independently.

Ahhh, that's the key! When I scrolled all the way to the left I could see that the boxes for some of the optional display items were unchecked. Checking those boxes now offers me those items when I scroll through the display. Thanks

Thanks, everyone! I was able to find the options menu for the left dial by clicking the left key again. Sure enough, the electric gauge wasn't checked. Once I checked that, I was able to display the Max boost and battery charge info inside the left dial. Likewise for the right dial, clicking the right button again brings up a similar options menu for what's available inside the right dial. I also noticed that whatever options I check for each dial affects all three dash pages. Also, the Meter Type and Style I select in "Vehicle Settings" are used in all three dash pages. So basically, the only use of the three dash pages is to display different gauges inside the left and right dials (and the center area). This doesn't seem like a very useful feature.

A different question about the three different lane-related features: LDA, LTA, LCA. After reading the manual several times, my understanding is that LTA and LCA only work on the highway when the radar cruise control is on. LDA, on the hand, works at all speeds and will steer car back to the center of the lane if it thinks you are too close to the lane markers. Is my understanding correct? I hate fighting with the car over steering control in regular driving. I find it very unsettling. So I turned off LDA. Hopefully I've turned off the right option.

I also don't like the LC beeping every time there's cross traffic when I'm sitting at a red light or stop sign. How do I switch that off?

I made this list to help me remember what all the abvr stood for and what could or couldn't be adjust/disabled.
That list is pretty amazing - thanks! BUT, for the life of me I have tried to "raise" my heads up display and no matter what we push we can't seem to adjust it. I am OLD and thought I handle most tech decently, but not used to the toyota info at all. Can someone enlighten me? I would like to change a few of the things that are displayed (that I didn't know was possible until your list), but it needs to raise slightly to be more visible when driving.

Thank you!
