Long time lurker here, finally joined.
I’m based in Wisconsin, on the hunt for a 1958 (Meteor Shower preferred). My VW Sportwagen got rear-ended by a school bus and folded like cheap lawn furniture, so now I’m aiming for something that can haul gear, a canoe, my partners 300 outfits, and my 80lb shepherd on camping trips without compromise. And maybe survive the GBU57 inspired Milwaukee potholes.
Test drove one recently, I loved it. My partner, on the other hand, said it felt like climbing into a vintage lunchbox and driving a museum piece. It will grow on her eventually.
Still trying to score a decent deal up here post-Toyota promo, any Midwest pricing tips are welcome.
