We have enjoyed our 99 LC with no mods and never had a mechanical problem.
So we purchased 25 LC LC and looking forward to comparing and contrasting the build quality between the two.
So Far
99 LC has better leather seats, better sheet metal, obviously more room, terrible gas mileage, low of 11 MPG, high of 17.5 MPG, average of 13 MPG.
25 LC Pros: comfortable Cooled seats is a game changer, drove from Gresham, OR to Redmond for the PNW Overland Expo and then down to Corning, CA. 470 miles and could still walk normally for the check in at the Hotel. We have 10 tanks in, and have averaged 25.0 MPG, all in eco mode. I did not think i would like the cool box, but it did come in handy on our Oregon trip.
Cons: small radio knob, navigation is off sometimes, more accurate with google maps or map quest thru my i Phone. Lack of storage space in the glove box, door trim panels, etc.
First Mod: Rav4 Radio Knob replacement.
