2025 LC
After owning a Subaru Forester for 7 years it was time for a change. Barely used 2025 LC Premium was delivered on Friday! Haven't done anything besides putting my bike rack on it and washing/waxing it. Looking for wheels and tires but quite overwhelmed by the 70+ page tire thread . Will be used for mostly on-road with some fire-roads in Pisgah, NC. Not really digging the all seasons or the huge wheels. Stoked to be in a real off-road vehicle though!

Welcome to the Jungle!

Word of advice as I see you have a bike rack ...............

When no bikes are loaded everything works like it should when backing up. Load your bikes up and it's as if the LC is possessed when backing up! It's fairly simple to disable the "anti backup" crap.

Read the manual concerning the "trailer backing" with the LC. And search the forum for as there are many posts concerning this.

Thanks! The LC hates the bike rack even without a bike. I already read through a few of the threads and disabled the back up braking thing and turned the alert volume all the way down on the parking assist thing. I may end up turning it off all together as the yellow/red seems to block out the camera's view on the screen.

I went a different route, as I would forget to push the button etc.........

Thanks, very impressive build out and solution to the bike rack problem!
If you don't want to add lights to your bike rack, I believe you could get the same results with a much simpler solution......... Buy these or equivalent, bolt the magnet to inside of the bike rack's receiver hitch and hook up the "Blue" wire (Brake Controller Output) to the magnet's wire. In theory it would work the same as with lights etc........

With this setup I wouldn't need to turn off the switch to the left of the steering wheel or adjust the parking assistance settings?

Correct, just plug in the 7 pin connector and it disable everything, unplug the 7 pin and everything goes back to normal. When I plug mine in, there's a message on the dash...... something about the anti-back up crap being disabled and the icon turns grey (if I remember correctly).

That's definitely a better solution!
