New kid in town

Hello fellow retiree, and welcome to the forum! Native Californian here, would like to move back, but too pricy! :(

Welcome to the forum! I've had my Land Cruiser-Land Cruiser trim since last August and just passed 5,000 miles and love it as much as I expected. I'd owned 3 4Runners (the last was a 2021 TRD Pro) and an FJ Cruiser. I have to say that I like the LC more than either the 4Runner or FJ but do confess to having a soft spot in my car heart for both of those amazing vehicles.

As you see, mine is Trail Dust color, which is perfect for the SW Utah desert and red rock country. I use it off pavement about 20% of the time but am not a hard core off-roader. I pull a 2500 lb all-terrain camp trailer more than once a month.

Modifications to my vehicle so far:
  • Paint protection film - full hood, front fenders and door handle cups
  • Ceramic coating
  • Icon Recon wheels with 40mm offset
  • Nitro Terra Grappler tires (275/70/18 SL rating)
  • Toyota front and rear skid plates
  • On order: RCI rock sliders
  • Still considering: Full-length roof rack

Word of caution...don't get caught up in "doom scrolling" on the forum for everything that could possibly be wrong or go wrong about your Land Cruiser. It took me a while to quit reading every post. It seems like a few forum members secretly (or not so secretly) want to be automotive critics or automotive engineers or Toyota design team leads. Judge it based on your experience. I use the forum to explore specific topics (for example, what are the roof rack options) rather than read everything posted.

Enjoy your Land Cruiser and share a picture or two.
