Maybe we should not grumble too much about pricing in NA

I know buying a new Land Cruiser feels painfully expensive but it is nothing compared to Europe. I realize that this one is a diesel with 7 seats but holy moly, this is in The Netherlands. $200k in US dollars or $285k in CAD. Professional grade is comparable to our Premium version minus a couple of extra's !!

A close friend of mine is German, lives in Munich and after driving mine for 2 weeks in the States, decided to get one for himself when he got back home to replace his 2016 Discovery LR4 with SDV6 which breaks immediately after he finishes repairing it from its last issue.

He visited the local Toyota store in Munich and they did not have any on the lot and he was sad to learn that for roughly 81,000 Euros he could not get it in Heritage Blue in Germany (maybe Europe). He did end up ordering one in Trail Dust because that was he backup color and is very excited to receive it when it comes in.

There is some irony to the entire thing as he is a Powertrain Engineer for BMW in Munich.

Hi Rijk,
Thank you so much for sharing European prices. You made me count my blessings. And made me so thankful.

I am waiting for a VX model this week. The VXL, which would be the equivalent of the first edition, is impossible to get here in Spain. Only 50 units will be sold and they will not start selling it until the beginning of summer at a price of €98,000. From November they will start selling a hybrid/Diesel, which does not even have a price yet. The VX comes very well equipped except for the sound system, 20" wheels, a panoramic roof and leather (it comes with synthetic leather). The equipment is the same as the VXL, the only thing is that you can't put the disconnectable stabilizer bar on it. And it costs €12,000 less. I hope I don't regret it. Regards, Paco
