Maxtrax on Roof Rails

Has anyone found a good solution for securing maxtrax to the OEM roof rails with crossbars? Several places mention CAM or ratchet straps, but wasn't sure if that was wise.

Mount this plate to cross bars, then maxtrax boards on top.

Thanks for the idea and pointing me in this direction. I ended up going with a slightly different mount from Overland Kitted. I wanted to have something that allowed a little wider spacing so I could also fit a Thule Force XL roof box up there. I went with these:

I also removed the OEM cross bars and switched to the Thule WingBar Evo 50in which allow mounting across the whole bar and increased dynamic load:

Worked out great and allows me to get the roof box and maxtrax up there no problem.
