This is the first vehicle where I bought new and am starting to learn to do a lot of the routine maintenance myself. I'm not too familiar with how valuations are done, but how will the value of my LC depreciate if there are little, to no maintenance records from dealerships/shops?

I have been keeping receipts and noting all my fluid changes. Is this sufficient as record say I decide to sell, or my car gets totaled in an accident?

Thanks in advance and really appreciate all the amazing guidance on this forum.

If you make/have an account on Toyota.com you can log your diy maintenance there and it shows up right there with any dealer maint. that they log.
I’m not sure how that plays into valuation but it’s what I’ve done with my 250 and my last couple other cars.
I just think of it like that’s what I would want if I bought a used car; to be able to see all the records I could.

I didn't know you could do that! Thank you for pointing that out. I agree - I always appreciate someone who's meticulous with their maintenance records and I would also like to do so as well!

@Mtn40 whats the link for that? Thanks

What @ERROR504 said  , but...
It does take a little work to find.
My Dashboard
My Vehicle Dashboard (add vehicle if it's not there already)
Scroll down to Service History and hit drop down arrow.
You should see all the entries your dealer made.
Hit Add Record in the upper right of that section

I didn’t know this - thank you! I’ve been logging it in a third party app. This is better since the service center can see it.
