Welp...as the title suggest my curiousity peaked and I wanted to see how much the sway bar disconnect costs from Toyota and holy crap....now I am glad I don't have it. That's going to be quite the bill if it ever fails out of warranty. BTW before it starts....save your breath. I am happy with my 1958 and was fully aware of what I purchased and have no remorse over not having sway bar disconnect.

8 grand? Toyota can kick rocks...while I stack them, so I don't need disconnecting sway bars.

The Aftermarket will sort this out... Especially as it's sharing so much with 4runners and Tacomas. In the meantime, I highly recommend a 4wd driving course so people with swaybars can learn some tricks to navigate the world with them in place.

I am gonna etsy an emblem that says "Fulltime Swaybar" like the old 80 series 4wd one.

Lol let me know when you do.

When I had a Tacoma I would just unbolt the end-links.

Then I forgot to bolt them back up and realized the truck drove just fine around town without a sway bar. My lift was stiff enough it was OK.

Toyota should have put disconnecting sway bars on all LC models especially the 1958 since those will get tricked out more than the soccer mom versions.

Worst case if mine breaks my truck will just be a 1958 with nicer seats.

I have a 2025 LC Premium and it didn't come with stability disconnect mechanism (SDM). It apparently is kind of a random thing. Some 2025 LCs with PP have it and some don't. I guess I am never going to be offroading, it doesn't affect me.

I just took my 1958 wheeling this weekend and while a SDM is cool, it is certainly not needed. These things are extremely capable even without it.
