Has anyone else seen one of these? I just stopped in the lot after-hours and drove to the back of the lot where trucks that are not quite ready to display are kept. Two LC250's sitting there with a badge that says XP Series. On rear tailgate it says X Series. I could not identify anything that looked different from other models but it was dark.
A quick search says Southeastern badging to give more off-road look with side-steps/rock rails, roof rack, and Nitto tires (still 265/70/18). I think its mostly marketing hype.

I don’t know if it’s the distributor or dealers but they have been doing this for years. The Prius probably has an XP version. It’s putting lipstick on a pig. Makes the buyer think they are getting a special package. When it’s time for resale or trade in the VIN will show it’s a 1958.

Yes it is deceiving. It prompted me to get out and walk around them trying to see what was special about this model.

Any sense on price? It's a 1958 with the unique feature of the XP and the blacked out iForceMax on top of features that you can otherwise get in the way of the roof rack, tires and drop step.

At least some "special editions" have meaning. Like the classic Mustang California Specials or High Country Specials. Or at least a tie in to the regional name.

But what's an "XP" edition? Do I get extra free oil changes for casting fireball or slaying a dragon or something?
