Is there anything that would protect the carpet corners of the seat pedestal? I seem to keep hitting it with my foot getting in and out of my LC

Weathertech mats have a bit of a lip on them, but don't think they come up that far

OK. Thanks. Just saw the post on newly released weathertech floor liners. looks like they come up more than the ones that came with my LC from Toyota. I just don't like the rubber matts for day to day use. Maybe STICKERFAB will come up with some kind of protection for the corners they seem to come out with all kinds of protection add-ons.

Seems like someone with a 3D printer should be able to make a cap that fits right over that!

+ 1 on the WeatherTech mats. I finally got these in the mail for Miss Daisy. I hope as the heat runs in the floorboards that they settle in some more. I’ve hear that other brands stink for a while. I cannot smell these.

This might be a little bit of a DIY project..........

If I were to make a protector for that corner. Source a plastic tray/box in your fav color (thrift stores/Dollar General/Walmart) Cut pieces of cardboard from a cereal box or like and tape them together to make a three sided template, fitting over that corner. Use your template to cut a three sided corner from your plastic tray/box. Loosely unbolt the seat and remove that one corner bolt, fit your plastic corner piece and use a marker to mark the drill hole............ easy peasy.

You could also leave the front strip long and use a hair dryer to heat and mold that strip around the console side of the seat post.

Mine came with the rubber all-weather OEM factory floor mats, but opted to grab some weather-tech mats because I noticed with the snow we've had in my area that the factory mats didn't provide much coverage near the gas pedal, and water was getting under the mats and moisture was getting trapped down there...

Granted, I do prefer rubber mats, but the weather-tech are definitely an upgrade, and keeping my floor clean and dry...they do cover up that pillar a bit, so may help with your issue, but not sure. Either way, I definitely prefer being able to just take them out, hose 'em down, and they look good as new...carpet mats just get dirty and stained too quickly.

Here is what I came up with using some Velcro I had in my junk drawer.
