I Need Help with SwitchPro and Blue Sea Fuse Block Installation

Okay, so I’m new to installing lighting on vehicles. I ordered a switchpro and a blue sea fuse block. I’m having trouble comprehending what to do with the wiring into the fuse block. Am I suppose to (for example) run the hot wire from my light bar, splice it with the switchpro button wire, and then wire the combined wires into the positive on one of the Blue Sea terminals, and then wire the negative from the light bar to the negative terminal on the Blue Sea?

I can’t seem to find any videos that make sense to me. All the setups I see are just using the blue sea as a place to connect the ground wire but nothing is connected to the fuse terminals. I don’t get it. Can someone please explain how the wiring is supposed to to be, or if you have a photo or video of your setup, could I see it?

I’m using an 8 button SwitchPro and a Blue Sea ST blade split bus fuse block.
 
I would have to know the models (links would be great) of the items you purchased in order to see how they are used. I might be able to assist.

After looking around everywhere, I believe the problem is that you don’t need relays and fuses to use a switchpro. I was trying to run it through the fuse block but I guess that isn’t necessary.
I’m using a switchpro 9100 and a blue sea split bus ST blade.
 
Glancing through the manual, you are correct.
 
Hey, from what I remember you don’t need anything else for the switch pro, everything is built in. You just need to mount the “block” under the hood somewhere and route the main line through the firewall. All your accessories then just run straight to the block as only a pos and neg. That’s the beauty of the switch pro. Just pos and neg to the block itself, and then pos and neg from your accessory and that’s it.

After reading thst, it may have been confusing. Positive and negative from your battery, since it is a cruiser, I would find a ground point anywhere near the switch pro block, and your positive from the lug under the passenger side fuse box where the jumper point is. EOD guy has good picture examples of this on his build page. From there you run the one line that goes to the control pad through the firewall into the cab. After that all accessories plug straight into the switch pro block. It has everything already built in, you just have to plug in the accessory into the allotted slot, but that’s all very obvious on the block itself. I’m 99% sure this is right, or at least that’s how I wired it only Tacoma, and never had any issues. Good luck man!

After viewing the many YT videos where folks were installing some "name brand" switch pros, I had a need for a small switch panel for cosmetic reasons vs function. So to Amazon I go and I found what I was looking for. Now what was amazing, as I was looking mainly at the dimensions, the generic "switch pro" detailed pictures of the components and wiring on Amazon looked exactly like the "name brand" that were being installed in the YT videos, so I thought I'd take the chance.

This is the 3rd panel I've had in the LC. 1st one was a simple add to the OEM, 2nd was from a forum member that added three extra OEM style switches, which broke in 2 pieces when I tried to remove it, the 3rd was the Amazon "cubby" which was too small for actual use. I chopped the cubby off and added the Switch pro like panel. I took the switch panel apart and just mounted the switch part to the trim panel. This was a lot of work, after cutting off the cubby, the left over part was super skinny and I knew it would break (like the 3 OEM switch panel) so I filled in the gap between the new panel and the skinny trim panel with JB Plastic Weld.

This is the result.....

Dude your ingenuity never ends! Looks very clean and good job! I was leaning towards an aux beam since they are half the price of the switch pro but figured I wouldn’t need it because I didn’t like any of the mounts and really only want rock lights and my light bar… but sure enough now somebody’s making a nice looking mount… wescott I think. But that means I would now have to undo my 2 days of wiring. 😩

Where did you end up mounting your Switch-Pro controller? I’m trying to decide. If you’ve got did it again what would you do differently?

Slee has a couple of prefab brackets as do others. I could make my own but have plenty of other things that need my time. Prefer as close to a bolt in solution as possible.
