Help : Auto Door Lock/Unlcok with speed or Parking

Hello,

I recently got my new land cruiser Prado 2024 LC250. I am in Dubai, UAE.
I was exploring the feature of locking/unlcoking all the doors linked with either speed or P. but in either of the cases its not working.
I searched for the manual it says settings to be found in car. but i am unable to find this setting as well.

was wondering how to set this functionality ?

Thanks for your reply. Though i have tried searching on both. i.e. in settings of driver guage meter and also media screen. I could not find this option anywhere. In fact, i found some manual settings of doing it through lock button which was for older prado. That also did not work.

According to the manual you can change it in the multimedia display (this is for the US variant):

First thing figured:

Pressing and holding lock/unlock for few seconds makes all door unlock at the same time when u touch the handle

I am also trying to access the auto door lock menu but can’t seem to find it.

The lock/unlock when the gearshift is moved (US Variant) is through the Infotainment screen. The all doors lock/unlock is through the dealer or diagnostic computer like Carista.

The auto door lock is exclusive to the luxury variant in GCC (the model that comes with the imo ugly grill, rear entertainment screen and the active suspension)..

As a workaround, you can buy one of these OBD controllers that will lock the doors at a certain speed, unlock doors on engine off, auto close windows on locking, etc…

Unfortunately i dont have a link for it, but here are some pictures maybe you can find it online.. it works pretty well..

I checked this morning and couldn’t find the option anywhere in the infotainment screen — so bizarre.

Thanks for the tip! I’m honestly surprised they treat auto-lock as a “premium” feature only available on the top-end model.

Quick question — does the OBD have to stay connected all the time for it to work, or does it program it once and then you can remove it? Also, I’m a bit curious about the warranty side of things — would connecting a third-party OBD void it?

It has to be plugged in all the time.. I dont think it voids the warranty but I would take it off when going to the dealership..
