you think I am making a mistake.

It seems the Sherpa is built heavier/stronger andI like the rubber blocks to seal the holes vs. heaps of RTV. Please they quote a 2 week lead time vs. 6-8 or not even released yet.

Next question is full wind fairling or half fairing and lights? I really prefer my lights on the bumper so no light wash on hood but not sure when a good bumper kit will be available.

I have zero experience with roof racks but why would you be making a mistake? I just looked those up and they look awesome.

Did you end up buying a rack?

Rack recieve and installed. Impressed. Nicely engineered kit. Install is quite a few steps but nothign difficult. Final result is strong and looks good. I'm pleased. Had to climb up and walk around on it when done.

My ARB basket type rack on my 80 is better for rooftop lounging.

Was wondering if you have noticed any wind noise since your last post. I really like the rack but don't want any extra noise. Thanks

I just bought and installed the Westcott roof rack. The rack is well built and looks great. The customer service I experienced was not so great, such that if I had to do it over again, I would go with a different company. Good luck.

I bought the sherpa but havent been able to install yet. Hoping to do it this weekend. I’m pretty sensitive to noise so i will let you guys know.

My Sherpa has been very quiet. It does have a little noise now that I've added ski racks, and I noticed some noise on the freeway last week during a wind storm (50-60mph headwinds), but most of the time I can't hear anything other than the noise from the side mirrors.

Customer service with Sherpa was awesome too FWIW, I asked them many questions prior to sale and a few after and every one was answered in full either that day or the next (including weekends).
