LC250
Hello everyone,

I have been driving my new LC250 for around a month or so now. I love it despite having to dial it in to my liking haha. Anyways my question is this, have any of you experienced a rather strong smell of fuel in the cabin at cold start and idle? The smell persists while driving as well. I contacted several dealers and only one was somewhat helpful. They said they have had this issue in the Tacomas and that it had to do with the low pressure fuel pump.. unfortunately my local dealer inspected the car and said they couldn’t find anything.. I’m extremely annoyed, especially at the price these new LC’s are going for.. basically they said they can’t do anything until a recall is issued. Is it just me or does this seem rather dangerous? It was so bad I had to drive with the windows open on my way home. Any feedback would be great!

Thank you!

Have them check the connection from fuel line to tank....

The 1st week I had mine, that line disconnected from the tank and was leaking gas. Very strong gasoline smell.

The leak threw up a bunch of warning lights and the LC had to be towed back to the dealer. Luckily it was raining that day, or else something would have caught on fire

Dang that is unfortunate..

I had them inspect the whole fuel system and they did not find any leaks..

I have no codes on the dash either. I have an independent Toyota repair shop I use for my 4th Gen V8 4Runner. I may have them take a second look.

You can flip up the rear seat remove the carpet and cover and gain access to the fuel tank/pump/sending unit and line connections. The lines snap on.
