Hi folks
Here in Australia we use UHF radios to talk with trucks and other road users to assist in overtaking getting road conditions and even assistance especially in very remote regions. Of course you don’t want to clutter up the cabin so a local company Accelerate Off-Grid Touring here came up with a mount for the GME radio itself that fits underneath the console below the cell charger they also had a mount for the hand piece which was out the way and plug and play wiring into the usb socket behind the dash. It turned out to be an easy fit for a rank amateur like me and it works a treat. The only thing I would suggest is that you deburre the mount as it is very sharp from being lazer cut. see my photos, let me know what you think. You will not I have a cover for the gearstick, they seem prone to damage as they have a very soft covering.
