I wonder can these hold the weight of a Baja XL

I like the one stop LC shopping.
The complete LC ARB air kit. A must have for me when the new toy shows up.

2-3 weeks out.
Already ordering goodies.

I just ordered these myself and I am looking to also get the CATuned LC250 Offroad bumper.
Heck yea! If you haven’t, you can code “2yotas1fam” to save a lil money. Also, I would highly suggest ordering the front bumper soon. I know on the site it says pre order, but they have a small batch they are welding right now and will be sending to powder coat VERY SOON!

Install video for the front bumper should be out soon as well. It’s pretty straight forward.

Thanks so much and thank you for the promo code! I will order today, when I asked if I could combine shipping, they said that the lead time is currently 60 days. So I will get the ditch light mount this week or next.

Not sure if this is helpful at all, but when I went to install these ditch light mounts, I realized that the aftermarket hood shocks that I had put on would not work with the bracket in its delivered condition.

So I went ahead and marked them up and used an angle grinder to cut the area free to allow the hood shocks to mount and keep the new ditch light mount as well.

Again, not sure if this helps anyone else out or they had run into this issues themselves, but figured I would share.

Any issues so far with this mod? Do you find that the original hood bolt has enough useable thread with the ditch light bracket + hood struts mounted?

Hey @advnt4re - Even with the two brackets stacked (hood strut pin bracket, ditch light mount bracket), the hood bolt still has plenty of of thread to tighten. I would say that the ditch light brackets are almost overbuilt for what they will hold, so I do not foresee any support issue or integrity issues by making the modifications. So far this seems to have solved the main issue of not being able to use this style of mounting bracket with aftermarket hood struts installed.

I was going to send an email today to Rav with these images to see if a modification to the design could be possible for those that have the aftermarket hood struts. Would you be willing to share with them instead or should I continue with sending an email?

Of course! Two of us 250 series testers will be up there at CATunedOffroad tomorrow afternoon and we can have a chat with Max about this. I'll likely reference the photos you have in this thread and get back here with any feedback!
